My God Daughter

Today was a great day for me, I had the chance to photograph my God Daughter, though she is not with us in this world yet, I still took great pleasure and joy in photographing her.  I will be documenting her journey into this world, by doing monthly progression photos. Please enjoy the images below and hope you continue to follow along with me throughout this entire experience.

1.11.11 New Beginnings

Its eleven days into the new year and I have spent the past two inside due to the "snow storm". I decided to use this time and go out and enjoy my first Photo Stroll of the year. Here are just some of the images from my stroll. There are at least 3 amazing photo's within 3 feet of you right now, I took that three feet and expanded it to 2 miles, images range from my very own backyard all the way to open fields. Hope you enjoy. For the rest of the images please visit my website. www.UneeqDesign.com

Photo Stroll

Sept. 21, 2010 was my best friends birthday, to celebrate we went on a Photo Stroll around Downtown Historic Buford. The following images are a result of that, no edits. Some days the best thing to do is to just shoot for the heck of shooting.

2010 Bail Out Program

First I must say that I am very proud of the image above, it is me trying my hand at multi-layered sequential  editing. I think it turned out well for a second attempt, I am aware of the faults and I will use them to better myself on the next set of images. It is something I wanted to share even though I am aware it is not perfect. Point is, something can still cause  you to feel proud though it is not the way you want it to be. Enjoy the image and please let me know what you think. I will be writing an article and tutorial for Fuel Your Photography on how to accomplish an edit like this. Sadly it is not achieved by using the overlay blend. No blend modes here.

Special thanks to Cameron Scott for boarding for me.

Do you know where your Instrument is?

You will hear it more times than you would like to but here it goes again, if you do photography, "take your camera with you, EVERYWHERE you go". A few nights ago I was invited to see the screening of a short film some friends of mine from Point Click Shoot had produced. These guys stayed up for 48 hours straight working on this video and the end result was great. After the showing everyone gathered around and just began to talk and relax and over, just have a good time. The girl in the image above began playing some her own music, and everyone gathered to listen. The first thought that went through my head was, "wow I wish I had my Camera with me". This thought made me really understand why it is so important to keep your creative instrument with you. I say instrument as a way of covering all creative tools, whether they be a camera, sketch book, camcorder, and everything in between. What ever your craft, i believe it is very important to take something that allows you to practice it with you where ever you may. Luckily for me I was able to capture this moment with my iPhone. Though the quality of the image wasn't great, the quality of people and experiences which I have from looking at this image are amazing.

Special thanks to Point Click Shoot thanks for the invite and night of memories

Retouching Video

The way I learned to do a lot of the edits that I do now, was by surfing the web and looking at video done on Youtube and Vimeo. I would put what I have learned to use in some of my own works and build my skill level from there. It soon got to the point where I was being asked how I was able to do a certain edit, or effect. So I decided to start screen capturing myself doing certain edits, in hopes that it will help others in same way I was helped. Above is a video of me doing an edit from a shoot I did not too long ago. The video's will get more intricate over time, showing full and complete techniques, till then enjoy!

Special thanks to,
