A NO is just a YES waiting to happen

"NO", a word in which I believe many creative individuals can relate to as being one the the hardest words to hear. It is sometimes difficult to hear a, "NO", because it is often times followed by rejections. Whether it be for a concept, a job proposal, or even from client. No matter who it is from it is always the last thing that is wanting to be heard. This post is about over coming the fear of rejection. For a long time I would have a problem asking for help, not because I was ashamed to need it, but for the fear of being rejects and just getting a NO! One day I merely realized that the people I was afraid to ask for help and get rejected by, were just like me at some point. They were starting out, lost and wanting to seek advice, which is exactly what I was wanting to do. So one day I decided to email the sites which (blogs which I read daily, they can be found under "Helpful Links") and I just informed the people who ran the sites as well as other professionals, who/what I was and what i was hoping to accomplish.  And to my amazement I received emails back from about 90% of them. Turns out they were very willing to help, all of them gave me their personal email and phone numbers. And welcomed me to call and ask anytime I needed help. After experiencing this, it only motivated me to seek it out more professionals and ask for more help, which has in turn helped me creatively as well as expanded the network of creatives which I have. No is just a word and Professionals are just people to heard a lot of no's before getting many yes' s. So just go out there and try, you will be surprised at who is willing to help.
